Sputnik Light approved in Turkmenistan

Sputnik Light, a Russian one-component coronavirus vaccine, has been approved for use in Turkmenistan as a stand-alone vaccine and booster. This was announced on December 23 by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) in its Telegram channel.

"The Russian Direct Investment Fund announces the approval of Sputnik Light as an independent vaccine and universal booster in Turkmenistan," the statement says.

A booster or booster shot is used for a booster shot, which is usually given six months after the main shot.

Turkmenistan became the 23rd state where the use of a single-component Russian vaccine was approved.

In January, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan under an accelerated procedure registered a two-component Russian vaccine against COVID-19 Sputnik V.
