The state information agency TDH reported that Turkmen grain producers fulfilled the state grain harvest plan and harvested over 1,600,000 tons of wheat.
Let us recall that in the past two years there have been no reports pertaining to the plan execution.
The wheat harvesting campaign was launched on 5 June.
On 24 May the head of the state signed the resolution on setting up the state wheat harvest control commission.
According to the sources of Chronicles of Turkmenistan, in 2018 Turkmenistan harvested a third as much wheat as was projected in the plan, which resulted in the deficit of flour and bread in the country.
In 2020 for the first time the plan will be decreased to 1,400,000 tons.
