State property privatization revenues increase 2.7 times

In the first five months of the year the State Property Service transferred AZN 47.2 million to the state budget from privatization of state property. This is by 12.6% more from the predicted figure. According to the agency, the revenues from privatization of state property rose by 2.7 times as compared to the same period of 2022. The SPS did not disclose the structure of revenues. It has to be kept in mind that the SPS provides information on privatization of state property without taking into account similar processes in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Since 2000, privatization in this exclave of Azerbaijan has been carried out by local authorities without any information and transparency, and most importantly - without legal basis. Information about privatisation revenues is also absent from the laws on the application and execution of state budgets in this autonomous republic. The Nakhchivan government has never provided the public with a report on the privatisation process since then
