BAKU: Five key steps are currently envisioned for the development of a Unified Digital Platform for Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) standards in Azerbaijan, the UN Development Partnership and Finance Officer in Azerbaijan, Ulviyya Akbarova, said at the presentation of the concept of ‘Unified Digital Platform for Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Standards,’ Trend reports. ‘The major steps include a call to action emphasizing collective efforts for the successful development of the ESG, the development of a roadmap for the establishment of the platform, identification of key stages of its development, participation of platform members in its development and their possible proposals, continuous interaction and discussion of proposals from platform members, as well as presentation of the platform and discussion of next steps after its launch,’ she said. To note, the concept of the “Unified Digital Platform for Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Stand ards” was developed by the Business Environment and International Ratings Commission.
