Students of the Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications � active participants of the global volunteering movement

The centre of volunteers opened at the Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications headed by English Language Teacher Maral Kuliyeva includes 500 students. For them is an honourable mission to keep students motivated to learn English, broaden outlook, study the history and culture of countries, members of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games that will be held in Ashgabat in September, 2017.

The centre of volunteers celebrated its third anniversary this year. The English language classes are regularly held in the centre. Starting from this academic year, the Japanese language has been included into the programme of the linguistic training for volunteers. A recent graduate of D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages Akbibi Ataniyazova teaches the Japanese language at the centre. The language of the Land of the Rising Sun replenished the schedule of the higher educational institution in the context of implementation of the strategy of multilingual education.

Within the framework of the preparatory work for the ambitious sports event, students take active part in the global volunteering movement. For example, a second-year student of the Faculty of Communications Archa Annabaev participated in the V beach Asian Games-2016. A fifth-year student of the Faculty of Transport Construction and Economy Islam Gurbanov volunteered at the I European Games in Baku in 2015. He was actively involved in the organization of cultural and educational events. This experience helps students to successfully perform volunteering mission in the framework of the qualificatory international tournaments organized in Ashgabat.

Volunteers provide assistance in the organization of thematic events in their institute. Among them are the presentations on the V Asian Games and the Year of Health and Inspiration conducted on a regular basis.

Students of the Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications take active part in the global volunteering movement. They regularly attend national and international sports events and are awarded with valuable prizes and honorary diplomas.
