Tashkent hosted annual consultations with the French Development Agency

Tashkent hosted annual consultations between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency on the implementation of projects with the support of the Agency and the identification of promising initiatives that contribute to sustainable development.

During the consultations, the main achievements of the activities of the French Development Agency in 2022 were noted, a roadmap of specific activities for the implementation of projects for the current year was developed. It was emphasized that a powerful impetus to intensify cooperation between the Agency and relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan was given by the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France in November last year.

On 25-27 January, the first stage of technical meetings was held to review progress in the implementation of 9 ongoing projects of the French Development Agency in Uzbekistan for 814 million euros in solid waste management, green economy development, animal husbandry and public health.

Following the consultations, representatives of both delegations expressed their desire to enhance collaboration within the framework of joint projects in energy, green economy, urban development, access to water and sustainable financing.
