Today, a telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Warmly, brotherly greeting each other, the heads of the two states expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange views in a personal conversation on the current level and prospects for the development of interstate dialogue, as well as discuss some aspects of international and regional politics of mutual interest.
As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening traditionally, friendly and good neighborly relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan, which are based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.
It was noted that the Turkmen-Kazakh dialogue is characterized by a high level of trust and mutual understanding, which is a solid basis for the progressive development of cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats, including within the framework of international organizations.
The Turkmen leader noted that today our states have sufficient potential to intensify joint work in the field of transport, in particular, expand international transportation routes using the favorable location of the two countries at the crossroads of continents, as well as increase the volume of mutual trade and strengthen partnership in the industrial sphere.
During a telephone conversation, the interlocutors expressed the intention of the parties to continue to expand political, economic, spiritual and cultural ties between the two friendly neighboring states and their peoples.
In conclusion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, for the attention paid to strengthening Turkmen-Kazakh relations, and wished his colleague good health, prosperity and great success in his work, and peace and prosperity to the fraternal people of Kazakhstan.
