Today, a telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Having warmly greeted each other, the heads of state exchanged congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, expressing confidence that this bright holiday, embodying goodwill, generosity and enduring high spiritual and moral values, will serve to further develop fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as strengthening the atmosphere of friendship, mutual support and solidarity throughout the Muslim Ummah.
May the Almighty accept all fasts, good deeds and prayers performed during the holy month of Oraza, Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdogan wished.
In continuation of the telephone conversation, having noted with satisfaction the progressive, dynamic nature of the interstate dialogue, the interlocutors exchanged views on priority areas of multifaceted bilateral cooperation built on the principles of mutual respect, trust, long-term and close partnership.
As for trade and economic cooperation, as President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, Turkey is one of the strategic partners of Turkmenistan in these areas. In this regard, the need was emphasized to involve the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Business Council as key tools for strengthening effective partnerships and implementing new joint large-scale projects.
At the end of the conversation, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan wished each other good health and success in responsible state activities, and further prosperity and progress to the fraternal peoples of both countries.
