On October 17, by the decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the current ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov was simultaneously appointed the country's ambassador to the Republic of South Africa.
Rejepov has been serving as ambassador to Kazakhstan since January 2021.
