The aspects of Turkmen – Danish inter-Parliamentary cooperation are discussed in Ashgabat

The meeting with representatives of the delegation arrived to Turkmen capital led by deputy of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark, Chairman of the Danish delegation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Peter Juel Jensen was held in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

The activity of the Mejlis in legislative support of large-scale reforms was one of the subjects of the meeting. Actively integrating to the world's political, economic, cultural and humanitarian and legal space, Turkmenistan pays utmost attention to the development of democratic institutions, consolidation of bases of true people power and in this regard, to improvement of national legislation and bringing it to the correspondence with international standards. In this context, productive cooperation with competent organizations including with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe was highlighted.

The Head of the delegation, having introduced the structure and activity of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark, mentioned the presence of potential for the development of fruitful cooperation between the parliamentarians of two countries. In this context, the intent for establishment of closer contacts for exchange of the experience of legislation work was uttered.

Under their visit, the guests were received in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where opportunities of Turkmen � Danish cooperation were discussed.
