On November 5, an autumn planting of seedlings took place in Turkmenistan. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and officials planted trees at the monument to Magtymguly Fragi, and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov planted trees in the new capital of Akhal, where he also inspected the progress of construction work. This was reported by the state information agency TDH.
This year, it is planned to plant 3 million seedlings of deciduous, coniferous, fruit trees and grapes in Turkmenistan, including 1.5 million – by ministries, departments and the capital’s khyakimlik. The first part of the planting campaign took place on March 20. On April 4, the President was informed that 1,658,915 trees had been planted in the country.
In 2021, the authorities planned to plant 30 million seedlings in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence, and in 2020 – 25 million in honor of the 25th anniversary of its neutrality. Before that, 3 million trees were also planted every year. In total, more than 145 million seedlings have been planted in the country “for many years” .
The planting of seedlings by father and son took place in parallel, but according to the same scenario. The first trees were planted by the president and chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty, and then by the rest of the officials present. All works were accompanied by performances of artists.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed Deputy Prime Minister Annageldi Yazmyradov , who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, to control the planting of seedlings, “which should be carried out taking into account the soil and climatic conditions of each region.” The President also recalled that jubilee celebrations in honor of the poet Magtymguly Fragi are planned for 2024 and instructed “to take a responsible and thoughtful approach to the organization of international events.”
After the subbotnik, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again came with a check to the construction site of the sculpture of the horse Akhan near the capital Akhal under construction and got acquainted “with the characteristics of the building materials used in its construction.”
The chairman of the State Committee for the construction of the new center Deryageldi Orazov and the khyakim of the city Shamuhammet Durdiliyev reported on the work . They were ordered to pay attention to the lighting system of the complex, since ” given the special attitude of the people to the “paradise” horses, this corner will become a favorite vacation spot for people, especially newlyweds “.
According to the ex-president, “the color scheme of the sculpture of Akhan is important, it should embody the true image of a magnificent horse.”
Then the chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty arrived at the Turkmen-Turkish friendship park (it is located not far from the new Makhtumkuli park), which, judging by the cards of the TV report, is being completely reconstructed.
Berdimuhamedov Sr. reminded that in 2024 there will be anniversary celebrations in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, but we need to prepare for them today. His comments and recommendations concerned the quality of building materials and the design of the central entrance to the Magtymguly complex, which, apparently, now includes Friendship Park.
On August 24, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov inspected the monument to Magtymguly Fragi under construction from a helicopter. On September 2, it became known that JSC “Vozrozhdenie” at its own expense will modernize the still undiscovered monument and improve the surrounding area. Initially, the authorities of Turkmenistan planned to open the monument in June 2021, then – on June 27 this year – on the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as Magtymguly Fragi’s Poetry.
The last ex-president inspected the intersection of Bekreve Street and Archabil Avenue, as well as Bitarap Turkmenistan and Archabil Avenues. In particular, he was interested in the design of the slabs that will cover the soil on the slopes along the roads. Earlier , the Berdimuhamedovs have repeatedly approved the appearance of concrete blocks, which will strengthen the soil along the edges of highways. Earlier, when Ashgabat was flooded several times, the unreinforced soil was quickly washed away , and cracks formed in it.
