Specialists of the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan held local seminars with the participation of members of regional, district, city and district election commissions. The main topic of these seminars is the holding of elections of deputies of the Mejlis (parliament) of Turkmenistan, which will be held on March 26 this year.

The participants of the seminars were familiarized with the procedure for holding the upcoming elections, the electoral legislation, the structure of the electoral commissions operating in the elections, as well as the powers of the electoral commissions of all levels.

Currently, candidates are being nominated and registered in the elections to the Turkmen parliament. On March 26, along with the elections of deputies of the Mejlis, elections of members of local representative bodies of power will also be held in the country.
