The Central Election Commission registered Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the presidential elections. The name of the second candidate has become known

On February 15, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums in Turkmenistan registered a candidate for the presidential election from the Democratic Party, the son of the ex-president, Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov . He was handed an appropriate certificate, the state information agency TDH reports .

On the same day, an extraordinary congress of the Agrarian Party of the country was held in Ashgabat, at which Agadzhan Bekmyradov , deputy khyakim of the Mary velayat, was nominated as a candidate for the presidency .

In 1995, he graduated from the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction with a degree in civil engineering. He worked in the etrap khyakimliks of the Mary velayat, in the Vekilbazar etrap council of the Youth Organization and in the association of Trade Unions. For the last five years, since April 2017, he has been the deputy head of the Mary velayat.

Party members approved the candidate unanimously.
