The Central Election Commission releases preliminary results

The elections for the national parliament, the Halk Maslakhaty and the Gengesh take place in Turkmenistan.

According to preliminary results released by the Central Election Commission, over 50% of the voters cast their votes by 1pm.

In the elections for the national parliament, 53.41% of the voters cast their votes by 1pm.

In the elections for the the Halk Maslakhaty in the regions and Ashgabat - 65.30% of the voters: 68.01% - in Ahal Velayat, 65.58% - in Lebap Velayat, 61.01% - in Ashgabat.

In the elections for the the Halk Maslakhaty in etraps and cities - 57,39% of the voters: 67,88% - in Ahal Velayat, 58,55% - in Balkan Velayat, 59,33% - in Dashoguz Velayat, 51,38% - in Mary Velayat, 60,50% - in Ashgabat.

In the elections for the the Gengesh - 60,90% of the voters: 67,92% - in Ahal Velayat, 76,24% - in Balkan Velayat, 55,79% - in Dashoguz Velayat, 62,05% in Lebap Velayat, 51,31% - in Mary Velayat.
