On President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov held a session of Turkmenistan’s State Security Council where executives of the law enforcement agencies gave progress reports.
The state information agency TDH reports that Deputy Prime Minister overseeing the state security Charymyrat Amanov presented designs of the new equestrian сomplex, which was designed pursuant to the instructions of the head of state.
“Akhal-teke horses are reliable helpers of defenders of the Motherland and law enforcement officers”, – the President pointed out and made some amendments in the project designs. The President added that “the equestrian complex should envisage appropriate conditions and infrastructure for keeping and training horses as well as athletes’ training”.
It should be highlighted that equestrian complexes have been built in each velayat whereas there are three centres in Ashgabat, including the International Akhal Teke Equestrian complex, Ashgabat Equestrian complex and the Akhal Teke Equestrian complex under the President of Turkmenistan.
The law enforcement agencies have previously been involved in the construction and maintenance of livestock breeding complexes and breeding of cattle and poultry. In January 2019 TDH reported that Turkmenistan’s Customs office has a chicken farm under its jurisdiction with over 50 thousand chicken that hatched 11 million eggs the previous year”. In the autumn of 2016 the livestock breeding complex subordinate to the Defense Ministry was opened to breed camels, cattle and small ruminants, rabbits, turkey and chicken.
