The key issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China in Ashgabat Qian Naicheng.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of problems of the Turkmen-Chinese cooperation, noting the high dynamics of the development of partnership between the two countries.

The parties paid special attention to issues related to upcoming events with the participation of heads of state. In particular, the parties discussed the holding of the China-Central Asia summit and the opening of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

Earlier, the media of Turkmenistan reported that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received an official invitation to take part in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in the capital of China.
