The head of Tatarstan took part in the laying ceremony of a mosque in Arkadag

On January 20, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov , who is on a working visit to Turkmenistan, took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for a mosque in the city of Arkadag, which is under construction, the press service of the head of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation reports .

In addition to Minnikhanov, employees of foreign embassies took part in the ceremony. A video report from the scene has been published on the website of the head of Tatarstan.

Earlier, the architecture of the mosque and the design of its dome were approved by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov , but he was not present at the laying ceremony. On this day, he held a meeting with the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin , who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.

According to the state information agency TDH, the contract for the construction of the mosque was given to the Altyn ES.
