The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a series of bilateral meetings in Islamabad

Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a number of bilateral talks in Islamabad on the sidelines of the 48th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

In particular, Meredov met with Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev. The parties stressed the importance of the significant potential for the development of Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations on a wide range of issues in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan held talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. The diplomats noted the effectiveness of the bilateral political and diplomatic dialogue and stressed that regular summit meetings give a powerful impetus to the development of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation.

Rashid Meredov also held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The parties considered topical issues of the Turkmen-Saudi agenda in political, economic and cultural terms. In this regard, positive dynamics in the development of interstate relations was noted and the need to intensify contacts at the highest level was expressed.
