The head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission was received at the Moscow City Hall

A meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Batyr Niyazliev and Deputy Mayor, Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of Moscow Maxim Liksutov.

During the meeting, the interlocutors expressed their conviction that there are broad prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Moscow based on rich traditions and accumulated experience. In particular, the emphasis was placed on cooperation in the field of land transport infrastructure, the creation of modern urban agglomerations and smart cities. In particular, according to Maxim Liksutov, there are good opportunities for establishing cooperation in such segments as transport security, optimization of parking spaces, and the introduction of electronic transport management systems in large cities.

In this context, the possibility of organizing a visit of a delegation of the Moscow government to Turkmenistan for substantive negotiations was considered. During the visit, the Russian side proposes to consider such aspects as the use of digital technologies, the formation of transport infrastructure during the construction of Ashgabat City, the creation of a "green corridor" for the supply of Turkmen agricultural products to Moscow, the organization of a joint business forum with the participation of business circles of Turkmenistan and Moscow as the first a step towards systematic and long-term cooperation.

During the conversation, aspects of cooperation in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres were also touched upon. It was noted that the wide, multifaceted interaction of Turkmenistan with the administrative structures of the largest Russian metropolis has broad prospects, is mutually beneficial and can give new creative impulses to interstate cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
