On July 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Security Council on the results of the work of the military and law enforcement agencies for seven months, the state information agency TDH reports .
At the meeting, Minister of Internal Affairs Muhammet Khydyrov reported on maintaining public order in the country, on the prevention of offenses, including the prevention of accidents on the roads, and compliance with fire regulations.
The President noted that the main task of the Ministry of Internal Affairs should be the re-equipment of units with modern technical means, as well as digitalization. In addition, it was ordered to conduct fire safety briefings in all institutions, enterprises and among the population, and to revise the training program in specialized universities "in accordance with the realities of the time."
After that, Serdar Berdimuhamedov reprimanded Khydyrov "for improper performance of official duties." This is the first reprimand of the official who took over as Interior Minister in early April.
Chairman of the State Customs Service Maksat Khudaikulyev reported on the improvement of the work of his department. The President ordered him to actively implement digital systems in all departments of the service, as well as to comply with the procedure for moving goods and vehicles across the customs border of the country .
Then Serdar Berdimuhamedov severely reprimanded Khudaikuliyev for "improper performance of official duties, shortcomings in his work" with a final warning to correct the shortcomings as soon as possible. In September 2020, the official was reprimanded by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov .
This was the last meeting of the Security Council this summer. As TDH recalled , from August 1 to September 1, members of the leadership corps, including the president, will be on vacation.
