On October 3, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov and Minister of Industry and Communications Takhyrrdi Durkhanov .
According to the president, quoted by the state news agency TDH , such meetings are useful for analyzing the work of industries and identifying unused resources.
Recall that on October 1, Deputy Prime Minister Purchekov, who is responsible for construction, energy and utilities, was also temporarily transferred the powers of former Deputy Prime Minister Mammetkhan Chakyev , who oversaw transport, communications and industry.
Purchchekov reported to the head of state on the introduction of advanced methods and digitalization of the industrial complex, transport and communications into the public utilities sector.
The head of state noted that the industrial complex should primarily provide materials for construction projects, as well as engage in industrial processing of local raw materials.
The President also said that his main requirement is to accelerate the digitalization process, provide communications with the latest systems, effectively use the capabilities of the national artificial satellite and prepare for the launch of the second.
Recall that the TurkmenAlem satellite was launched on April 28, 2015 with the intention of leasing free frequencies to other operators. In July 2018, it was reported that Turkmenistan is still looking for ways to commercialize it.
In December 2017, it became known that about 1 billion 300 million manat will be allocated for the development of the space sector of Turkmenistan . With these funds, it was also envisaged to create and put into space orbit another artificial satellite.
