The state information agency TDH reports that on 9 June 2018 the second session of sixth assembly of Turkmenistan's Mejlis was held where new laws and legal acts were adopted.

Among other documents, the following regulations between Turkmenistan and the UAE were adopted:

On ratification of the Agreement between the authorities Turkmenistan and the government of the United Arab Emirates to counter terrorism, organized crime, illegal trafficking of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, as well as other crimes.

Let us recall that these agreements and treaties were signed in the course of the visit of the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov to UAE in March 2018.

It should be emphasized that Serdar Berdymukhammedov, Parliament member, who won the Parliamentary elections in March 2018 in his election district with 91% of votes did not participate in the session.
