The Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a number of laws

The lower chamber of the Parliament of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis, considered and adopted a number of laws at its regular meeting.

According to the agenda, the deputies considered the draft laws “On Notaries and Notarial Activities”, “On Circus and Circus Art”, “On Local Self-Government”, “On Accession to the Additional Protocol to the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) Concerning Electronic consignment note” and “On Accession to the Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications Relating to Higher Education in the European Region”.

The draft legislative acts submitted for consideration at the next meeting of the Mejlis were unanimously approved and adopted. In accordance with the law, the adopted bills will be submitted to the upper house of parliament – the Khalk Maslakhaty (People’s Council) for consideration and, if approved, will be sent to the President of Turkmenistan for signature.
