The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with the delegation led by the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during the meeting in the "C5+1" format. This is reported by the foreign policy office of the country.
The diplomats discussed a wide range of issues related to the bilateral, regional and international agenda, the current situation in Afghanistan and the development of inter-Afghan dialogue.
The leaders of the delegations said that the further expansion of multilateral cooperation between Central Asian countries and the United States is an important indicator of socio-economic development in ensuring peace, stability and security in the region.
The parties also expressed their interest in strengthening cooperation in the "C5+1" format.
Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov also held bilateral talks with Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Jeenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
