At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on December 24, General Director of the Transport and Communications Agency Mammetkhan Chakyev reported on the work on opening representative offices of Türkmenistanyn ulag-logistika merkezi OJSC in foreign countries.

The State Information Agency TDH informs that with the opening of the Open Joint Stock Company "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" in 2018, the volume of international freight and postal traffic by all types of transport has increased.

It is noted that the opening of branches in various countries of the world's logistics companies "contributes to an increase in freight traffic in international transport."

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal, adding that "Turkmenistan initiates and, together with foreign partners, implements large infrastructure projects."

The head of state also noted that now basic changes are being made in the transport system and the functions of state administration and economic activity are separated.
