The President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Armenia held talks in Ashgabat

In Ashgabat, a meeting was held between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikola Pashinyan, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS.

During the meeting, an exchange of views on the priority areas of the Turkmen-Armenian interaction took place. The interlocutors paid special attention to the issues of expanding partnership in the trade and economic sphere. The President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Armenia called for diversification of cooperation, implementation of joint projects, and intensification of business contacts between the business communities of the two countries.

The parties also discussed relevant topics of the regional and global agenda of mutual interest. Particular emphasis was placed on the prospects for cooperation within the CIS.
