President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his birthday. The President of Turkmenistan wished the head of the friendly state good health, prosperity and success in all endeavors for the sake of the prosperity of the fraternal people of Turkey.

During the conversation, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to the course of expanding bilateral cooperation and congratulated each other on a significant date - the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey. The heads of the two states noted the positive dynamics of trade and economic ties and stressed the relevance of expanding partnerships in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the energy sector, textile industry, healthcare and other sectors.

During a telephone conversation, the heads of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey also exchanged views on topical issues of regional and global issues, emphasizing the intention of the parties to continue constructive partnership within the framework of international organizations. In this regard, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the historical significance of the creation of the Organization of Turkic States on November 12 last year and the entry of Turkmenistan into the organization as an observer. The head of state also announced the desire of Turkmenistan to join the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-speaking countries and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Turkic countries as a member.
