The President of Turkmenistan focuses the attention of the leaders of security forces at integrated approach to military and legal reforms

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held the session of the State Security Council where activity of military and law enforcement agencies for two month of the year were summed up.

First, the floor was given to Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defence Ya. Berdiyev who reported to the Supreme Commander on realization of large-scale military reform aimed at steadfast improvement of National Army, training of professional personnel and establishment of favourable conditions for service and life of military staff.

Having listened to the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that it is necessary to take all necessary efforts for provision of precise and coordinated work of all interrelated military and law enforcement agencies, which protect peace and stability in the country as well as to follow the provisions of Military doctrine, which is based on the principles of humanity and good neighbourhood inherent to Turkmen people and having exclusively defensive character.

After, Head of the State Border Guard Service B. Gundogdiyev gave report. The president was informed about the work for provision of the security of the borders of the motherland and about the measures undertaken for consolidation of their status as the borders of friendship and good neighbourhood.

Having pointed the attention on the importance of the mission given to border guard service, the Head of the State requested to provide coordinated work of all departments as well as to continue the work for improvement of service and life condition of military personnel.

Minister of Internal Affairs I. Mulikov reported on the outcomes of the activity of the MIA for January � February 2017, in particular on the measures for support of public order and prevention of crime, traffic accidents and provision of fire safety.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov requested to continue strict control for the activity of all supervised structures. Having noted the necessity of improvement of campaign against bad addictions, the Head of the State requested to activate broad explanatory work among the population on negative consequences of use of drugs and smoking.

After, General Prosecutor A. Halliyev gave report on the work executed for the reported period.

Having noted the input of prosecution personnel into strengthening of the foundation of democratic temporary state and provision of law and public order, the President of the country highlighted that the activity of law enforcement services have to meet key priorities of the policy of Turkmenistan declaring that the human is the highest value of the society.

Chairman of the Supreme Court B. Chariyev reported to the Head of Turkmenistan on the work for improvement of judiciary of the country.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of establishment of all conditions for efficient legal procedures paying special attention to selection of personnel and improvement of professional qualification of the staff who are to provide the supremacy of the law during court case.

Minister of National Security D. Bayramov also reported on the work for reported period and specific measures undertaken by his organization.

Having listened to the report, the President of Turkmenistan outline number of immediate objectives of the Ministry followed from its responsibility and authority. There are consolidation of equipment and facilities base of structural departments, training of personnel and improvement of service and life conditions.

Chairman of the State Custom Service M. Chakiyev reported to the Supreme Commander on the results of activity of his structure for two months of the current year

Summing up the report, president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov defined consolidation of equipment and facilities base of the service among the priority targets, in particular provision of custom terminals with modern equipment necessary for thorough inspection of cargoes as well as establishment of favourable conditions for service and life of custom personnel.

Chairman of the State Migration Service M. Nobatov reported on the situation in his organizations for the period under review.

Having stated with delight that independent Turkmenistan, steadily implementing the policy of peace, good neighbourhood and wide international cooperation, expands the geography of friendly countries and business partners, the Head of the State highlighted the necessity of professional growth of the personnel of migration service.

Next, Minister of Justice B. Muhamedov presented the report on fulfilment of the assignments given by the Head of the State and on the work for two month of the year for improvement and further comprehensive development of legislation base of the country.

In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed at the necessity of further supplementation of national legislation with new laws, which development have to be carried out in cooperation with the Mejlis, government and other elative structures.

Summing up the reports of the members of the State Security Council, the Presdient f Turkmenistan made the stress on the necessity of strict fulfilment of assignments and orders as well as provision of integrated approach to military and legal reforms aimed at improvement of the activity of security forces.

Number of other issues, on which relative decisions were taken, where reviewed during the session of the State Security Council.
