The President of Turkmenistan met with the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Deputy Head of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, Minister for the Office of the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit.

During the talks, it was noted that the favorable geographical location of Turkmenistan and the creation of a favorable investment climate in the country attract representatives of foreign business, including those from the Middle East. Bilateral mutually beneficial ties are developing in the trade, economic, fuel and energy and construction sectors.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the expansion of bilateral cooperation in transport. In particular, it was noted that in recent years, a multi-vector transport system is being formed in Turkmenistan, the infrastructure of the maritime transport network is expanding, and large-scale construction of new road, air and rail transport corridors is underway.

The parties stressed the existence of great prospects for the development of bilateral partnership in transport, especially with the use of the international seaport of Turkmenbashi in the Caspian Sea. According to the parties, this port is one of the major transport centers of international importance in the East-West and North-South directions. The parties noted that the port of Turkmenbashi fully meets the goals of establishing logistics chains with ports in the United Arab Emirates, and for companies specializing in port management and provision of logistics services, it can become an attractive project.
