President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of a large residential complex in the western part of Ashgabat.

The ceremony was attended by heads of parliament, members of the government, heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan abroad and foreign states accredited in Ashgabat, elders, representatives of public organizations and the media.

The complex includes residential buildings, secondary schools, a kindergarten, a shopping and entertainment center and other infrastructure facilities. The residential area consists of 62 four-story houses with improved planning and is designed for 3064 families.

To the applause of the audience, the President of Turkmenistan cut the symbolic ribbon and opened a new residential complex. The head of state came to visit the new settlers, inspected residential buildings, a school and a kindergarten. The Turkmen leader also had a short talk with foreign diplomats, congratulating them on the upcoming New Year.
