The President of Turkmenistan opened a multidisciplinary hospital in the city of Turkmenbashi

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during his trip to the Balkan velayat (region), took part in the opening of a 400-bed multidisciplinary hospital in the city of Turkmenbashi.

There are 27 departments in the 7-storey building of the hospital, including departments of functional diagnostics, otorhinolaryngology, neurosurgery, internal medicine, emergency care, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, anesthesiology, resuscitation, etc. The hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment. A digital communication system has been installed in all departments of the hospital, which allows you to urgently exchange the necessary data and quickly organize consultations. The new medical facility will employ 1,200 medical staff.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that raising the standard of living of the people, developing villages and cities is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's policy.

The head of state stressed that large-scale construction and commissioning of new hospitals, health centers, recreational and health centers, sanatoriums and high-level sports complexes are underway in the capital and regions of the country.

The head of state also held a short meeting with medical workers in the assembly hall of the new hospital. The Turkmen leader instructed the Minister of Health to create a center for the treatment of somatic diseases within the structure of the General Directorate of International Medical Centers. According to the President, it is advisable to build the building of the center next to the International Center for Surgery and Endocrinology in Ashgabat. The head of state also noted the need to build another dental center in the capital and instructed to prepare proposals on this issue.
