Today, the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Azizbek Madmarov, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan. He presented the credentials to the Turkmen leader.
Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan for taking the time to discuss the important issues of cooperation, the Ambassador conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, and his wishes for the prosperity of the Turkmen people. The diplomat noted that it is a great honor to represent his country in Turkmenistan, which has friendly and brotherly relations with the Kyrgyz Republic. Expressing his best wishes to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post and wished him great success in further strengthening Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations.
During the meeting, the Turkmen leader and the diplomat exchanged views on the future directions of bilateral relations, taking into account the multifaceted possibilities of cooperation. As noted, cooperation aimed at the welfare of the two friendly peoples in the trade and economic system, transit and transport infrastructure, energy and agriculture sectors, implementation of investment projects, science and education, culture, sports and tourism is fruitful. Regular relations at the level of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries condition the development of political-diplomatic cooperation.
The Joint Intergovernmental Group on Trade-Economic, Scientific-Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation plays an important role in the implementation of opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial trade-economic relations on a long-term basis. Along with this, the importance of further deepening of mutual relations in the cultural-humanitarian system was emphasized.
The proximity of approaches and views on important issues of international politics forms a favorable basis for the activation of Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations at various levels. As it is known, our countries attach great importance to sustainable development, security and strengthening of traditional good neighborly relations in Central Asia. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the development of multilateral relations with neighboring countries, including Kyrgyzstan, is one of the main directions of neutral Turkmenistan's foreign policy, and expressed confidence that bilateral relations based on the common historical, cultural and spiritual values of the two fraternal peoples will be further developed.
