President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Talant Mamytov, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of Central Asian States and the Russian Federation.

The President of Turkmenistan and his guest discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral partnership and noted the existence of significant potential for building up bilateral ties in the trade and economic sphere.

The parties paid special attention to the relevance of further strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and interaction in the legislative sphere. In this regard, the interlocutors stressed the importance of the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the Central Asian States and the Russian Federation held in the Turkmen capital, designed to promote cooperation, friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of the Central Asian region and the Russian Federation.
