The President of Turkmenistan receives the credentials of the Pakistan Ambassador

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Murad Ashraf Janjua who presented his credentials to the Head of the State.

It was highlighted that Pakistan, like the rest of the world, highly appreciates and comprehensively supports the constructive policy pursued by Turkmen state, which is based on the principles of peace-loving and broad international cooperation, and attaches great importance to the development of interstate relations.

Having expressed the gratitude for warm words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed best wishes to the leaders of friendly country, having highlighted the interest of Turkmenistan to consolidation of fruitful cooperation with the states in the region, particularly with Pakistan.

Having congratulated the diplomat on the appointment to accountable post, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished him success in his noble mission aimed at intensification of Turkmenistan � Pakistan partnership, which is successfully developed on bilateral and multilateral basis under large international organizations and regional structures.

Lively exchange of views of key aspects of interstate relations, which are being consolidated by established trustful Turkmen � Pakistani dialog on high level as well as similarity or concurrence of the positions of both countries on number of important aspects of international and regional agenda took place during the meeting.

The currency of the initiatives of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on formation of international transport and transit corridors and provision of global energy security was highlighted in this context.

Discussion of the opportunities of further increasing of construction rates of transnational gas line Turkmenistan � Afghanistan � Pakistan � India (TAPI) was a separate subject of the meeting. Having confirmed the interest of his country in expediting of TAPI construction, the Ambassador expressed the confidence that completion of this project would support the development of economic cooperation in regional and global scale. We would continue provide all around support to practical implementation of bilateral agreements, - the Ambassador has said. The diplomat also noted the importance of the project on supply of Turkmen electrical power to Pakistan.

During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest also discussed the aspects of diversification of trade and economic cooperation and interrelation in science, education, health care and sports.
