President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the New Year celebration at the country's main Christmas tree in front of the Universe cultural and entertainment center, sharing the joy of the holiday with the children.

Children from all regions of Turkmenistan were invited to the holiday at the main Christmas tree of the country. These are excellent students of studies, winners of subject Olympiads, sports competitions and creative competitions, as well as inmates of orphanages. The children greeted with glee the main companions of the New Year - Ayaz Baba (Father Frost) and Garpamyk (Snow Maiden), and then members of the government and leaders of the country's parliament. After that, the car of the head of state stopped in the square in front of the Universe center.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov watched the performances of young artists - singers, musicians, dancers, and then he himself joined in a round dance with children around the New Year tree. After that, to the great delight of the children, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, they were presented with New Year's gifts. Also, at the request of the children, the Turkmen leader took a picture with them as a souvenir at the main Christmas tree of the country.

Having wished the children a happy New Year, good winter holidays and success in their studies, the head of state expressed confidence that they would all grow up as worthy citizens of their homeland.
