Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov spoke at a government meeting via video link about preparations for foreign visits of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov scheduled for September-December this year.
As emphasized, the priority vector of the country's foreign policy is the strengthening and expansion of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with the states of the world, where meetings and negotiations at the highest level are the key factor.
Along with this, Turkmenistan is successfully developing a constructive partnership with regional and international organizations and structures. In this regard, the participation of the President of Turkmenistan in a number of Summits is planned.
At present, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the relevant departments of various countries, is carrying out appropriate comprehensive activities, including resolving organizational and other relevant issues, developing visit programs, as well as documents to be signed within their framework.
Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to a creative foreign policy strategy based on the principles of positive neutrality, peacefulness, good neighborliness and broad mutually beneficial cooperation.
The head of state instructed the vice-premier, head of the Foreign Ministry to ensure a high organizational level of preparation for upcoming foreign visits and meetings and negotiations planned within their framework.
