The President was reported on the implementation of the wheat harvest plan. It seems that the Deputy Prime Minister mistakenly attributed the extra 100 thousand tons

At an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on July 29, Deputy Prime Minister Annageldi Yazmyradov , who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, reported to the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the successful implementation of the wheat harvest plan.

As the state news agency TDH writes , Yazmyradov stated the following: “the hardworking farmers of the country, falling asleep in the bins of the Motherland writes, Yazmyradov stated the following: "the hardworking farmers of the country, having poured about 1 million 500 thousand tons of grain , honorably fulfilled their contractual obligations."

In a TV report on the meeting also talks about the collection of 1.5 million tons.

Note, however, that from 2020, the plan for the harvest of wheat is 1.4 million tons.

Thus, this year the grain growers either significantly overfulfilled the plan, although this is not mentioned in the text of the TDH, or the editors of the state information agency and the TV channel made the same mistake, or the deputy prime minister made a mistake in his report. For the Deputy Prime Minister's report, this is a rather serious mistake. It may indirectly indicate that for reports the figures are adjusted to the plan and do not correspond to the actual volumes of the harvest.

Nevertheless, President Berdimuhamedov congratulated the grain growers on the successful fulfillment of contractual obligations for the harvesting of wheat.

In 2020, the plan for the grain harvest was reduced from 1.6 to 1.4 million tons, but increased for cotton from 1 million 50 thousand tons to 1 million 250 thousand tons.

The wheat harvest began on June 3rd. At the same time, the TDH wrote that this year grain growers need to harvest 1,400,000 tons of grain from 690,000 hectares, including 400,000 tons in Akhal velayat, 310, Lebap, 345, Dashoguz, 265, and Balkan 80,000 tons. .

Last year, the implementation of the plan to harvest 1.4 million tons of wheat was also reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on July 30. At the same time, on behalf of the farmers, the president was presented with a gilded “composition” in the form of a statuette of a combine harvesting wheat. In 2020, the head of state was informed about the implementation of the plan on June 29. On this occasion, the head of state wrote a poem "Wheat".

The president is regularly reported on the implementation of plans. However, according to the “Chronicles of Turkmenistan”, in 2018 the country harvested three times less wheat, and in 2019 – two times less . .

As HT correspondents previously reported , in order not to damage the equipment, harvesters in the Lebap velayat cut the wheat at the very ear, which is why part of the crop is lost.
