From August 1, the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat opens a reception for issuing study visas for applicants and students of Russian higher educational institutions without electronic and telephone appointments, on a first-come, first-served basis .
Reception will be held Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 13:00, according to the department's Telegram channel.
When applying, applicants must have a complete set of documents:
an invitation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia to apply for a study visa;
a completed application form with a photo;
a copy and original of valid internal and foreign Turkmen passports (the validity of the international passport must be at least 18 months from the expiration date of the visa specified in the invitation);
a valid certificate of the absence of HIV infection with a translation into Russian (the certificate is valid for 3 months).
The message emphasizes that the period for issuing a free visa is 7 working days. The cost of obtaining a visa on an urgent basis (for 3 working days) costs $160 , and payment is accepted only in cash.
