The spread of Turkmen energy resources has a positive impact on the entire region, especially South Asia. This was stated by the UN permanent coordinator in Turkmenistan Elena Panova, speaking at the X International Gas Congress, which opened today in Avaza.
Panova also noted that TAPI is the best example of how Turkmenistan uses its hydrocarbon reserves for the benefit of peace and sustainable development of neighboring regions.
Stressing the special importance of interstate cooperation and the social aspect in the distribution of energy, Panova said that pipelines unite countries and bring stability to the regions through which they pass, otherwise they can not exist.
This has a positive impact on entire nations whose lives are getting better thanks to oil, gas and electricity, the UN permanent coordinator in Turkmenistan said.
