The Turkmen leader held a meeting with the head of Azerbaijanian Government

President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, being in Baku on an official visit, received Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade.

The head of Azerbaijanian Government congratulated the Turkmen leader on bringing the summit talks to a successful conclusion and signing of bilateral documents, aimed at expansion of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani partnership.

President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov expressed gratitude for warm reception, noted that the Turkmen side evaluates the present visit as an important step towards the diversification of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting the President of Turkmenistan and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan discussed the implementation of agreements, reached earlier and outlook for partnership.

The sides exchanged views on approaches to intensify trade-economic cooperation, implement joint energy and transport-transit projects, expand contacts between enterprises of two countries, etc.

It was also noted the significance of expanding humanitarian cooperation, in particular in the sphere of science, culture, communication, tourism and sport.

In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov invited Prime Minister of Azerbaijan to the opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held in Ashgabat on September 17.
