Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myakhri Byashimova met with representatives of the UN technical mission and its divisions, who visited the new administrative center of the Akhal velayat (region), the city of Arkadag, to review and assess the development of the city.

At the talks, it was noted that the visit was productive, and the UN experts were able to get acquainted with the first "smart city" of Turkmenistan, whose activities are based on the integration of advanced information and communication technologies.

Representatives of the UN technical mission, who spoke at the meeting, highly appreciated the city of Arkadag and noted that the facilities built there correspond to advanced standards in terms of environmental friendliness, safety and manufacturability.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare elements of a roadmap to implement the recommendations made during the UN technical mission's visit to the city of Arkadag.
