The universities of Turkmenistan will introduce a curriculum on COVID-19

The Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan, together with the WHO Country Office, held a round table on the development of curricula on a new coronavirus infection. This was reported on April 18 by “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

It was attended by representatives of medical institutions, the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service, involved in the coordination and control of COVID-19, as well as the teaching staff of the Myrat Garryev Turkmen State University.

The participants discussed the implementation of the updated WHO recommendations on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment of COVID-19 and immunization of the population of Turkmenistan against COVID-19 in the pre-graduate and post-graduate programs. It is expected that the program will be implemented from the new academic year.

The round table was organized as part of the project on response to COVID-19 in Turkmenistan, funded by the World Bank and coordinated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
