The upper chamber of the Parliament of Turkmenistan approved the adoption of a number of important laws

The upper chamber of the Turkmen parliament, the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), at its session approved the bills adopted by the lower parliamentary chamber, the Mejlis.

Members of the People's Council considered the laws "On introducing amendments and additions to the Criminal Code of Turkmenistan and approving it in a new edition", "On ratification of the Treaty between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan on the delimitation of the Turkmen-Kazakhstan state border and the delimitation of adjacent sections of fishing zones on the Caspian Sea", "On the ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the regime of the Turkmen-Kazakh state border", "On the ratification of the Agreement establishing the International Islamic Trade and Finance Corporation", "On the ratification of the Act on amendments to the Charter of the International Labor Organization", "On the ratification Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property”, etc.

Also, members of the upper house of parliament considered laws on amendments and additions to a number of existing legal acts.

All the laws submitted for discussion by the Halk Maslakhaty were approved and enshrined in the relevant resolutions.
