The visitors of EXPO in Astana to see the developments of the Institute of Solar Energy of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan

engineering, chemical and heat engineering technologies. The Gyun Institute (the Sun) was united with Physical and Mathematic Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in 2014 and new Institute of Solar Energy under the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan was founded on their base.

There are creation of efficient systems and installations for hot water supply, heating, water desalination, study of materials' characteristics under high temperature as well as processing of biomass, non-waste growing of plants and animals based on autonomous wind and solar complexes, production of samples and output of serial production among its activities.

Particularly, self-sustained solar furnace, suggested for use during development of pastries of the Karakum Desert, is presented in Astana. This complex consists of number of units like living quarter connected with hothouse, solar installation for production of biogas, ground water desalination units working of renewable sources of energy as well as biological reactors for growing of single-cell algae, the chlorella.

All units used together give economic effect and solve ecological issues. The model waste-free solar furnace itself was made by Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute by the order of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

Another self-sustained solar energy waste-free complex, which model rose keen interest at the exhibition, is among other practical developments of the Institute of Solar Energy of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. Multifunctional complex combines poultry farm, solar hothouse for growing plants and mushrooms. It also includes the premises for production of substratum, equipment for growing of chlorella, ventilation system, heating batteries, wind and solar installations. The production cycle is based on circular system of rotation of the heat, gas, fertilizers and water what allows considerable decrease of the investments of its construction comparing with the expenses for building of separate production facilities.

The third exhibit named Solar Energy Plateau represents innovative technology of drainage water treatment and its saturation with biological agents for further irrigation of agricultural crops. Use of this technology allows restoring degraded and saline soils and improving the provision of the areas under crops with water. The work of the technology is based on use of biomass wastes which are alternative fuel. Environmentally free liquid and solid biological additives are produced during this process from smoke and charcoal.

Liquid and solid physically and energy active bio additives in water content provide the purification of secondary waters form different contaminants, which are extracted through the drainage, throughout spiral water treatment process in Solar Energy Plateau Installation. Drainage and direction of water flow are regulated under gravity and centrifugal forces and at the same time, surface sediments are absorbed by the algae and part of treated water goes to irrigation of lands.

Another model presented on this subject demonstrates the work of solar complex with autonomous energy and water supply system. It consists of living complex, solar batteries, wind generators and installation that utilizes kinetic energy of drainage waters in collector flow, membrane water treatment system and desalination, hothouse for growing of agricultural crops, livestock farm, biological reactors for growing of microorganisms for enrichment of the forage with biological substances.

The complex also includes biogas production system and the system of high-quality organic bio fertilization as well as field for growing of agricultural plants with water saving irrigation technologies. It is necessary to mention that this patented waste-free complex does not disturb ecology and the balance of the environment.
