The youth team of Turkmenistan (U-20) beat the club from the UAE in preparation for the selection of the Asian Cup-2023

The football players of the youth team of Turkmenistan (under 20 years old) beat “Fursan Hispania”, a club playing in the first division of the UAE, in a friendly match at a training camp in Dubai, 4:3 in preparation for the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup-2023.

The game was played in an exciting fight. The Turkmen team opened the scoring already in the 2nd minute. This was done by Suleyman Mirzoyev. After 5 minutes, Dayanch Meredov increased the advantage of the youth team of Turkmenistan to two goals. In the 10th minute, Al-Fursan scored one goal, and in the 68th minute, he restored the balance in the score — 2:2.

In the 77th minute, Al Fursan scored a hat-trick and put the “Fursan Hispania” team ahead — 3:2. After 2 minutes, Galabeg Jumamyradov equalized the situation — 3:3. And 3 minutes before the end of regular time, Sohbet Durdyyev brought a strong-willed victory to the youth team of Turkmenistan — 4:3.

Before the end of the training camp in the UAE, the Turkmen youth team plans to play one more friendly match with the local club.

For the qualifying tournament of the Youth Asian Cup-2023, in which our players will play in group “D” with the teams of Jordan, Taiwan, Syria and the Northern Mariana Islands, the 60-year-old famous football specialist Said Seyidov is preparing the national team of Turkmenistan. Qualifying matches will be held from 10 to 18 September in the capital of Jordan — Amman.

The youth team of Turkmenistan (U-20) will play the first game on September 10 against the team of the Northern Mariana Islands. Then on September 12 will play with Jordan. On September 14, our players will meet with their peers from Taiwan, and will finish the qualifying tournament on September 18 with a match against Syria.

The winners of 10 qualifying groups and 5 best teams among the runners-up will advance to the final part of the Asian Youth Cup - 2023, which will be held from March 1 to March 18 next year in Uzbekistan.
