OSCE Center in Ashgabat conducted a course on security and control procedures in seaports for officers responsible for ensuring security at seaports and law enforcement officials. The training was held at the international port of Turkmenbashi.
To implement the increased capacity of the new port, it is necessary to conduct advanced training courses on monitoring and security procedures in modern ports, including at sea checkpoints, said Dmitry Zagrotsky, acting head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat .
The training program included practical exercises and discussion of cases from the practice of monitoring maritime security and port security management procedures. There was also a visit to the port area, during which methods of inspecting luggage and passengers were demonstrated, as well as procedures for registering ships and ensuring their safety.
