I sincerely congratulate you on the opening of the specialized economic exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I firmly believe that this large-scale exhibition will be of great importance in strengthening the reliable foundation of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, based on many years of experience, and in developing bilateral cooperation in all areas.
Relations between the two peoples based on the principles of good neighborliness, friendship, mutual understanding, bilateral trade and economic cooperation are given qualitatively new impetus during the Revival of the new epoch of the Stable State, necessary conditions for the continuous development of cultural and humanitarian relations are created. Because one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan's foreign policy is to develop relations based on mutual respect with world countries, first of all, with close neighbors. Based on this, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is a major trade and economic partner of Turkmenistan. In this regard, it should be noted that effective relations are being developed in such sectors as fuel and energy, transport and communication, industry and agriculture. In recent years, the coordination of joint efforts in using the existing opportunities ensures that Turkmen-Iranian relations in the trade and economic sphere reach a qualitatively new level, increases the volume of mutual trade, and opens a wide path for the development of industries on a multifaceted basis.
Great importance is also attached to the promotion of cultural and humanitarian relations between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Regular Culture Days, international festivals with the participation of culture and art masters and creative workers of the two neighboring countries are a clear example of this. It should be noted that the Culture Days of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan were held recently in Ashgabat.

In accordance with the programs for socio-economic development of Turkmenistan, the importance of international cooperation in introducing new technologies and the latest achievements of science in the industries, modernizing the national economy on the basis of world standards is very important. Within the framework of the specialized economic exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, businessmen of the two countries will have the opportunity to conduct negotiations that will further strengthen and expand cooperation.
The long-term future-oriented cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran covers important areas and fully meets the national interests of the two countries. These relations serve peace, good neighborliness, sustainable development and well-being of the peoples of the two countries and the entire region. During this large-scale event held in the modern exhibition hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the agreements reached between the businessmen of the two countries will open new opportunities for further expansion of trade and economic cooperation.
