Top Office on Emergency Mode Amid Nationwide Rallies

The presidential office entered an emergency operation mode on Saturday as massive rallies demanding President Park Geun-hye's resignation were held nationwide.

The top office held a staff meeting chaired by Presidential Chief of Staff Hang Gwang-ok on Saturday morning to assess and monitor the situation, with senior secretaries and most presidential aides coming to work.

Regarding the candlelight rallies, a Cheong Wa Dae official said that the top office will carefully listen to the people's voice.
