BAKU: The number of passengers arriving at Trabzon International Airport in September 2024 remained at the same level as last year, amounting to 2.8 million people. The data obtained by Trend from the country's Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure shows that passenger traffic on domestic flights at Trabzon International Airport increased by 4 percent compared to the same period in 2023 and reached 2.1 million people, while passenger traffic on international flights decreased by 12 percent, amounting to 693,582 people. The volume of cargo traffic at the airport in September 2024 amounted to 30,495 tons, which is 4 percent less than in the same period last year. At the same time, cargo traffic on domestic flights increased by 1 percent and amounted to 18,627 tons, while on international flights it decreased by 11 percent, amounting to 11,868 tons. The number of flights in September decreased by 6 percent compared to September 2023 and amounted to 20,468. Flights on domestic routes decreased by 4 per cent to 14,147, while flights on international routes decreased by 10 percent to 6,321. Overall, passenger traffic at all Turkish airports in September this year was 177.1 million people, and cargo traffic amounted to 3.7 million people.
