Turkey to host summit of natural gas exporters on February 14-15

A gas summit is planned to be held in Istanbul on February 14-15 with the participation of representatives of countries exporting «blue» fuel from Central Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea. This was announced by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Fatih Donmez, Anadolu agency reports.

The minister also noted that Turkey is currently discussing gas supplies to North Macedonia and Moldova, it is planned to sign a long-term contract for the purchase of gas with profile companies in Oman.

In December 2022, Turkmenistan hosted a summit of the heads of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey, at which special attention was paid to the supply of Turkmen natural gas through the Caspian Sea to the European market.
